BINGO RULES
The game of bingo originates from the 18th Centruy in France and have evolved drastically over the centuries to the game it is today. So much so, that now there is even an online version of the game that is becoming increasingly popular in many countries, especially the UK. Long have the days gone where it is fish and chips and then down to the local bingo halls. Long have the days gone where you need to be over 40 to play!! Market researches have shown that bingo is being played by people of all ages and is nowadays the new night-out for the twenty-somethings.

Bingo is still more popular amongst women, but more and more men are starting to play the game and finding it to be very entertaining. Perhaps it is the online fad that is getting a lot of society interested in bingo but let me tell you Gala Bingo and Mecca Bingo certainly aren’t complaining as the land based bingo halls are as busy as ever despite the smoking ban.

Bingo has very simple rules and it is entirely based on luck, therefore making the game fun and easy to play. Many people have struggled to believe that it is a game of gambling as the cost is so small and there is always a maximum you can lose. It is preferred to be looked upon as a hobby, a social experience and no doubt will continue to be popular in the UK and other countries for many years to come.

Bingo is very similar both offline in bingo halls and online on bingo websites. The way you win is by having all your numbers on your card called out and then you have achieved BINGO!

Online bingo has completely gone crazy in the UK in terms of popularity. It gives you the opportunity to play bingo from your own home and now you can socialise online as they say via the chat rooms that all the sites offer. Unlike land based bingo where the balls are drawn from manually by the bingo caller, in online bingo the balls are drawn by a random number generator, which is used for many other online games.

The one major difference between the land based and the online bingo game is the chat rooms. Chat rooms encourage players to communicate and socialise whilst the bingo games are taking place. Online bingo sites even have chat games where the chat moderator, CM, (all online sites have these and they work as a helper) leads the bingo games. A big plus point to the online bingo game is that with the constant influx of players brings an increase to the jackpot sizes. A lot of players in the land based halls have started playing online as they are the first to tell you that the jackpots are far larger online as they are far more bingo players and bingo games.

The two main bingo games to teach you are the 75 ball bingo and 90 ball bingo game which are the most common two in the UK. They differ in many ways. The game the UK is famous for is the 90 ball game and in the US they seem to have always preferred the 75 ball game. However, since the online craze in the UK the 75 ball game has seemed to have grown in popularity.

In 75 ball bingo, 75 balls are used by the Random Generator. In 75 ball bingo each player is given a 5×5 gridded card with a specific pattern on it. The aim is for the player to mark off the pattern in the quickest time possible by having their bingo numbers called out. There is only one winner in the 75 ball bingo game, therefore the first player to mark off the pattern on the card shout BINGO and they win the prize.

The 90 ball bingo game, which is most commonly played in the UK, is set in a grid of 9×3 and the card has 15 numbers to mark off and 12 empty. There are 3 different opportunities to win on 90 ball bingo. You can be a one line winner, a two line winner and a then a full house which is when all numbers are marked off on your bingo card. The prizes increase as the game develops. Therefore, you would win a lot more for a full house than you would for a one line winner.
